Children can arrive at school from 8:30 am, unless they are booked into Early Birds which starts at 7:40 am.
On arrival, children should enter the school playground through the lower or upper gates. Parents are welcome to wait on the playground with their children if they wish. There is always a senior staff member on duty from 8:30 am.
At 8:40 am a bell is rung, at which point children walk to their classroom’s external door. Registration is from 8:45 am and registers close at 9:00 am.
The playground gates are locked at 8:45 am and children arriving after this time are late and should enter via the office and be signed in.
Every class has a morning break from 10:30 am to 10:45 am, during which time they can have a healthy snack.
For Reception and Key Stage 1 children the morning finishes at 12:00 pm; for Key Stage 2 it is 12:10 pm. Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 6 go straight into the first lunch sitting and the other Key Stage 2 classes have lunch in a second sitting. Lunch break, for all children, finishes at 13:10 pm.
The end of the school day is at 15:20pm. The playground gates are opened just prior to this and all children should be picked up from their classrooms, unless we have written permission for them to walk home. Gates are locked at 3.30pm. We ask that parents / carers do not allow their children to use the play equipment.
